YARD SALE TO BENEFIT PULLMAN CIVIC THEATRE & PULLMAN CHILD WELFARE

Pullman Civic Theatre is joining with Pullman Child Welfare this summer for a yard sale extravaganza.  The sale will be held this August in PCW's parking lot, just across the street from Nye Street Theatre.  All proceeds will be benefit our theatre and Pullman Child Welfare's food bank.

We are currently collecting sale items and have many already in store: toys, furniture, clothing, tools - you name it.  We will continue to collect gently used items throughout the summer to make this the most spectacular yard sale of the Fall season!

If you would like to donate items to our yard sale, we would be happy to arrange for pick up or accept delivery at any time between now and August 8.  Please contact us at info@pullmancivictheatre.org.  Be sure to put "Attention: Yard Sale."

CHARLIE BROWN CAST BEGINS REHEARSALS THIS MONTH

Auditions for the musical, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, were held last month.  The cast will begin rehearsals on Monday June 16.  The show will be performed at the Nye Street Theatre July 18, 19, 24, 25 and 26 at 7:00pm, with a 2:00 matinee on Sunday July 20.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.  Tickets will be on sale soon at our local outlets: Safeway, Neill's Flowers & Gifts, and Dissmore's.  Will Call tickets can be reserved in advance by calling our Box Office at (509) 332-8406.

AUDITION DATES FOR CHARLIE BROWN HAVE CHANGED

The audition dates for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown have been changed to Sunday May 18 (6:00 pm) and Monday May 19 (6:30 pm), still at the Nye Street Theatre.  The original audition dates were during Memorial Day weekend.

NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR LOVE LETTERS

Tickets for Love Letters (Feb. 14 and 15) will be on sale soon.  Our special presentation of Love Letters, starring the First Lady of Pullman Theatre - Ruth Vanderwall, and her protege, Dave Hutton, is a fundraiser for our theatre, so bring your check book!  The performance will include a champagne and chocolates fete with dinner theatre-style seating.  Tickets are $35 per person.  Reservations are required, and can be made by emailing us at info@pullmancivictheatre.org or by calling the box office at (509) 332-8406.

DISSMORE'S IGA TO SELL SHOW TICKETS

In order to make obtaining show tickets more convenient for our patrons in north Pullman, we have added Dissmore's IGA on North Grand Ave to our list of PCT ticket outlets.  They join Neill's Flowers & Gifts on Main Street in downtown and Safeway on Bishop Boulevard.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE FINAL WEEKEND SOLD OUT

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that the final two performances of It's a Wonderful Life have also sold out.  We have enjoyed a successful run of this Christmastime classic, and it has been as much fun for us as it has for audiences.  Thank you to Director Brent Nice, Production Manager Mike Long, Technical Director/Stage Manager Kristin Lincoln, Costumer Jeri Harris, Hair Stylist Paulette McCollum, Properties Manager Jessica Harris, Properties Handler Stephanie Buckles and the entire 26-member cast for this delightful holiday production.

And thank you to all of our members, donors and patrons.  You have made this production and this entire theatre season a proud success for Pullman Civic Theatre.

As with our final production in 2006, we end the season on a resounding high note.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE SECOND WEEKEND SELLS OUT

The December 14 and 15 performances of It's A Wonderful Life have sold out.  Tickets are still available for December 21 and 22. 

Pianist Rosemary Waldrop will provide pre-show music on December 14 and 15 to keep everyone in the Holiday Spirit.

DRACULA TO BE BROADCAST HALLOWEEN NIGHT

On Halloween night, PCT's Dracula will air on KRPL Oldies 1400AM at 7:00pm and on Time-Warner Cable's Channel 11 following the World Series game. Thank you, Inland Northwest Broadcasting, for this exciting opportunity to showcase Pullman Civic Theatre's talent to a broader audience.

ANNOUNCING PCT'S 2008 SEASON

Pullman Civic Theatre has an exciting 2008 Theatre Season ahead.  We are offering something for everyone: romance, comedy, drama, music, history, and holiday spirit.

As a special Valentine's Day event, we have the classic, romantic two-person play, Love Letters.  We are very pleased with Love Letters to bring Ruth Vanderwall to the stage once again.  Ms. Vanderwall was the heart and soul of Pullman Community Theatre for over 20 years before her retirement in 1999.  She will be starring alongside her theatre protege, Dave Hutton.  April 2008 is the mystery-comedy Agatha Christie Made Me Do It, directed by Kristin Lincoln.  Auditions will be held in February.  In July 2008 we present our summer musical, the classic You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, directed by Dean Bourland. October 2008 we get serious with Harper Lee's powerful literary masterpiece, To Kill A Mockingbird, directed by Tracie Brelsford.  Also in October, the Pullman Civic Theatre Players will bring Orson Welles' infamous War Of The Worlds radio play to life on the 70th anniversary of its broadcast.  Mike Long is directing.  We will close our season with the Christmas-time classic, Miracle On 34th Street, in December.

Season tickets will go on sale December 1, 2007, and will include a 4-show package of Agatha Christie Made Me Do It, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, To Kill A Mockingbird, and Miracle on 34th Street.

PCT's 2008 SEASON TO BE UNVEILED AT DRACULA

PCT has finalized its 2008 Season, to be announced during Dracula - A Live Radio Play.  The 2008 Season includes four full-length, main stage plays.  Season tickets will go on sale December 1. 

In addition to the main stage shows, PCT will have special theatrical events throughout the year, including short plays and radio plays.

DRACULA DINNER THEATRE MENU CONFIRMED; DINNER THEATRE ANOTHER SELL-OUT

PCT's Dinner Theatre event on October 18 will feature Roast Beef with au jus and horseradish, Tossed Green Salad, Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Sauteed Vegetables and Red Velvet Cake.  There will also be a cash wine bar.  And, of course, you will be treated to PCT's full Dracula - A Live Radio Play.

We are pleased to partner with Benny Advincula of Advincula Enterprises / Unitrades of Moscow who is catering this wonderful dinner.  Our good friends Keith and Jan Bloom at Cafe Moro of Pullman will again provide coffee, the proceeds of which go to PCT.

The theatre will seat 45 for dinner, and reservations have sold out.  The doors open at 6:15 pm, dinner begins at 6:30 pm and the show will start around 7:00 pm.

DINNER THEATRE SLATED FOR OPENING NIGHT OF DRACULA, OCTOBER 18  

The Nye Street Theatre will host a dinner theatre event for the opening of the live radio play, Dracula, on October 18, starting at 6:30pm.  We are currently interviewing caterers for the event and will announce a menu soon.  Seating is limited, and reservations are required.  The dinner theatre, which includes dinner and the show, is $35 per person.  You can make your reservations now by calling the theatre at (509) 332-8406 or by emailing us at info@pullmancivictheatre.org.

PCT RETURNS TO GLADISH AUDITORIUM FOR OLIVER!

After debating the merits of several Pullman venues for the musical Oliver!, all six performances will be at the Gladish Cultural and Community Center's main auditorium.  This marks a return to Gladish for PCT. Our last musical to hit Gladish's main stage was 2004's Children's Wing production of Cinderella.  We are excited to work with the great people at Gladish again.

PCT's Nye Street Theatre remains our venue for all non-musical productions, including Dracula - A Live Radio Play in October and the full stage version of It's A Wonderful Life in December.

OLIVER!
MATINEE ADDED TO SCHEDULE, OPENING NIGHT MOVED TO JULY 20

The proposed performance dates for Oliver! have changed.  We will have 6 performances over a two-week run in July.  Performances are at 7:00pm Friday July 20, Saturday July 21, and Thursday July 26 - Saturday July 28.  There will be a 2:00pm matinee on Sunday July 22.

DINNER THEATRE EVENT FOR APRIL 19 IS A SELL-OUT

The dinner theatre preview of Around The World In 80 Days - A Live Radio Play on April 19 has sold out. Thank you to all of our members and patrons who reserved a spot for this special event. The event is being catered by Lewis Reed, owner of Basilio's restaurant in downtown Pullman, and will feature hearty hors d'oeurves from "around the world". PCT will have other dinner theatre events later in the season. Again, thank you to Producer Rosalie Harms for organizing the event and to everyone attending. The funds raised will help support PCT's 2007 Season and beyond.

MIKE LONG JOINS PCT BOARD

Our Board of Directors continues to grow. Mike Long has been welcomed as a member at large. Mike has put in countless hours of volunteer time with PCT in various capacities - including stage managing and acting. Besides not shying away from hard work, Mike brings many needed skills to our Board, including graphic design and publishing, people management, business management and years of stage experience.

DINNER THEATRE EVENT PLANNED FOR OPENING NIGHT OF "80 DAYS"

Pullman Civic Theatre is bringing back an old tradition! Around The World In 80 Days - A live radio play opens Thursday, April 19 with a special Dinner Theatre, featuring sample selections from the various countries visited by Phileas Fogg. Reservations are required, as seating is limited. Admission is $30 per person (Season Ticket Holder upgrade for this event is $15). Andy Sewell's photos from The Homecoming have been posted in our Gallery. Andy is a local water color artist and father of Will Sewell, who played one of the City Lady children in The Homecoming. Thank you, Andy, for the fabulous shots of both Homecoming casts. Each photo is captioned and actors credited. PCT RINGS IN THE NEW THEATRE SEASON WITH SOME NEW FACES

Pullman Civic Theatre entered its 2007 Season with lots of changes, and what exciting changes they have been. We have recently welcomed three new board members to our Board of Directors: Barb Kirschner, Kate Innes and Gary Thoren. Barb returns to the PCT Board after a hiatus of several years. We also welcomed three new directors to Pullman Civic Theatre: Donna Gwinn, Dean Bourland and Brent Nice. They are the first in our Guest Directors series. Donna is directing the radio play Around The World In 80 Days which will be performed in April; Dean is directing I Hate Hamlet, to be performed in May; and Brent is directing the summer musical Oliver! in July and our final play of the season, It's A Wonderful Life, in December. Tracie Brelsford, who directed last season's The Homecoming, will direct the radio play Dracula in October. We are excited about this new season and the new people who are helping us bring it to you. Please join us this year. We have many volunteer opportunities in theatre operations, publicity and acting. PCT UNVEILS 2007 SEASON

Pullman Civic Theatre is excited to unveil its 2007 Season line-up. We are presenting 3 full-length plays and 2 radio plays this season. Auditions will begin in mid-February. The 2007 Season opens April 19 with the radio play action-adventure Around The World In 80 Days, followed by the hilarious theatre farce I Hate Hamlet. Our summer musical is the classic Oliver! Our holiday offerings include the classic Orson Welles radio theatre version of Dracula in October and the full-length play of Frank Capra's It's A Wonderful Life in December. Season tickets are on sale now.

JOHN RICH RESIGNS AS ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

John Rich, PCT's Artistic Director, resigned earlier this month. John joined Pullman Civic Theatre in 1999 when he moved to Pullman from Southern California and a long career in professional theatre. During his tenure, and with the valued assistance of a growing cadre of volunteers, PCT continued to change and grow. We hope you join us in wishing him well in his future endeavors.

2006 SEASON ENDS ON HIGH NOTE

Pullman Civic Theatre closed its 2006 season on a high note with a standing-room-only matinee performance of the Depression-era Christmas classic, The Homecoming. With six sold-out performances, The Homecoming was our greatest success yet at the Nye Street Theatre, and was a perfect way for us to celebrate the venue's 1 year anniversary. Thank you to Director Tracie Brelsford and a cast and crew of more than 40 volunteers for an exciting close to a very ambitious 2006 season.
