Royalty In Our Midst
Pullman Civic Theatre offers a program called Royalty in Our Midst. Any company, organization or individual that underwrites the amount of royalties for any given performance is given the title Royalty in Our Midst, recognized in many ways, and can receive tax benefits.
Pullman Civic Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, so a Royalty in Our Midst sponsorship is tax deductible.
Royalties are the compensation publishers of plays receive from the theatre companies performing the plays. Publishers are compensated based on the available number of seats in the house and on the number of shows a troupe performs.
If your company prefers to categorize the royalty sponsorship as advertising, not as a contribution, this is possible, as your sponsorship functions as an ad in the show’s program. For some companies this offers a better tax situation.
We also thank your company by name before each performance and, with enough lead time, we will incorporate your sponsorship in the posters we distribute and in all other print advertising.
Shows available for the 2008 are: Love Letters, Agatha Christie Made Me Do It, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, To Kill a Mockingbird, War of the Worlds - A Live Radio Play, and Miracle on 34th Street.
