Auditions & Casting

Pullman Civic Theatre productions are open to everyone.  In this section, we list specific information for each future production, including dates/times/location of auditions, character descriptions and recommended preparations. 

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD  (drama)
Performance dates: October 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18.
Director: Tracie Brelsford

Rehearsals began August 25. 
Rehearsals are 6:30-8:30pm Mon-Fri.

ROLES THAT REMAIN TO BE CAST:
Calpurnia - NOT CAST.  Black, proud and capable, she has raised the motherless Scout and Jem.  She's a self-educated woman, her standards are high and her discipline of the children is uncompromising.  40s to 60s.
Reverend Sykes - NOT CAST.  Black minister of the First Purchase Church, called that because it was paid for with the first money earned by freed slaves.  An imposing man with a strong stage presence and strong "minister's" voice.  40s to 60s.
Boo Radley - NOT CAST.  Pale recluse who hasn't been seen outside his house in 15 years.  It takes an extraordinary emergency to bring him out; awkward, uncertain how to deal with people.  He is the mysterious fodder for young children's imaginations.  30s to 40s.

WAR OF THE WORLDS  (drama; radio play)
Performance dates: October 29, 30, 31, November 1.
Director: Mike Long

This is the 70th Anniversary of the original live broadcast.  We are in discussions to have our version broadcast (pre-recorded) as well, and this performance would be in addition to those listed above. 

Rehearsals begin Monday September 8. 
Rehearsals will run Mon-Fri 8:30 - 10:00pm.
