Rehearsals begin August 25.

Cast of Characters:

Scout - ALEX NEELON
Jem - MICHAEL CRAWFORD
Atticus Finch - BRENT NICE
Dill - DAKOTA RAMSEY
Stephanie Crawford - KAMI CORNWALL
Heck Tate - DEVON FELSTED
Mr. Gilmer - SCOTT CAMPBELL
Mayella Ewell
- KATE MARTINSON
Tom Robinson - BOBBY HODGE

Calpurnia - NOT CAST.  Black, proud and capable, she has raised the motherless Scout and Jem.  She's a self-educated woman, her standards are high and her discipline of the children is uncompromising.  40s to 60s.
Maudie Atkinson - NOT CAST.  Younger than Atticus but of his generation.  She's a lovely, sensitive woman.  She has a wisdom and compassion that suggests the best instincts of the South of that period.
Walter Cunningham - NOT CAST.  A hard-up farmer who shares the prejudices of his time and place.  He has seeds of leadership, and in spite of his prejudices his human side can be appealed to.  40s to 60s.
Reverend Sykes - NOT CAST.  Black minister of the First Purchase Church, called that because it was paid for with the first money earned by freed slaves.  An imposing man with a strong stage presence and strong "minister's" voice.  40s to 60s.
Boo Radley - NOT CAST.  Pale recluse who hasn't been seen outside his house in 15 years.  It takes an extraordinary emergency to bring him out; awkward, uncertain how to deal with people.  He is the mysterious fodder for young children's imaginations.  30s to 40s.
Mrs. Dubose - NOT CAST.  Old, ill, walks with difficulty, her pain making her a biting, bitter and angry woman.  She is fighting a battle within herself - a battle about which few people are aware - and her existence is a point of importance for Jem and Scout.  60s to 80s.
Bob Ewell - NOT CAST. Ewell is a bantam-cock of a man who lives with his large family by the town dump.  He is treated with scorn. Bob thinks this trial will make him an important man, and when Atticus destroys his credibility, Bob's rage and frustration border on paranoia.  30s to 40s.
Judge Taylor - NOT CAST. A wintry man of the South, who does what he can within the context of his time to see justice done in his court.  50s to 60s.
